THE PHOENIX RISES FROM THE BLOSSOM WALKS!
The Volkssport Clubs of South Vancouver
Island held the first
Victoria Volkssport
Phoenix Festival on
April 17th to 18th, 2009.
The Garden City Wanderers Volkssport Club, the
Victoria ‘Y’ Volkssport
Club and the Juan de Fuca Pathfinders
Volkssport Club jointly hosted this exciting
reincarnation of the
famous Victoria Blossom Walks.
We were thrilled with the response to the Phoenix Festival.
Almost 350 people from all over North
America (plus one from Germany) attended and
the feedback was great. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere,
the walks themselves, the home baking and the friendly volunteers. In addition,
we received some great ideas to make it even better next
time.
We plan to hold the next Phoenix Festival in 2011. We have tentatively booked April 15-17, 2011. We suggest that
you, also, reserve these dates in your calendar, and watch this website for
future updates.
We hope to see you in 2011!
